It's Different Than the TV Shows

Law interns receive lessons in real life.

Allison Pitzer, EHS class of 2004, is home for the summer. She was standing in Circuit Judge Barb Crowder's courtroom as Crowder listened to two sharp-suited lawyers argue a motion to dismiss.

Pitzer and six other law interns have been lurking in the courtrooms of the Madison County Courthouse this spring and summer, and they'll be eavesdropping on assorted hearings and motions at least through July.
